Drew Anderson – Choreographer, Guest Artist and Instructor

Drew Anderson

 

Andrew Anderson began his dance training at the age of 14 with Lady Leah Lefargue School of the Dance and Lake Charles Civic Ballet. He has performed the role of Nutcracker Prince in productions with Ballet Pensacola, North Central Ballet and Hartford Ballet.  Drew has worked with LCCB for the greater part of the last 10 years, lending his incredible ability to roles such as the lead skating boy in Les Patineurs, as well as dancing the Moor in Petrushka, the Prince in The Sleeping Beauty and the Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland.  He is also a gifted musician using his talents on the piano to compose and produce a variety of musical styles.  As a choreographer, Drew has created numerous works for LCCB performers.

 

Jaina Ange – Guest Artist and Instructor

Jaina is the 18-year-old daughter of Evette and Sam Ange of Westlake. She is a freshman at McNeese

State University. She has studied ballet for 16 years, 9 of those with Lady Leah Lafargue School of the Dance. She has continued her dance training in the summer by attending many LCCB Summer Intensive workshops and has attended the Joffrey Texas summer intensive in San Antonio. This is her first season as a guest artist. Her most recent role was the Red Queen in Alice in Wonderland. She has also performed in a trio of Ave Maria in Christmas in Louisiana: Once Upon a Time, the lead role in Amen for Assemble 2016, Gift of Frankincense in The Little Drummer Boy, Spring Fairy in Cinderella, Russian, Scottish and Arabian in Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and Lilac Fairy Attendant in The Sleeping Beauty. Jaina is currently a member of the MSU Catholic Newman Center and Chi Omega sorority. She teaches at Lady Leah Lafargue School of the Dance and has volunteered at Catechism of the Good Shepard. Jaina loves to travel and spend time watching movies with family and friends.

Adam Richard – Guest Artist

Adam Richard

 

Adam is the second son of Mickey and Maria Richard. This will be his 4th year dancing with Lake Charles Civic Ballet. He is a graduate of St. Louis Catholic High School and is currently a Sophomore at McNeese State University, where he is studying Nursing. Roles of note include Monsieur Dubriovsky in L’ Academie Dubriovsky, Scottish Man in Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Riff in Symphonic Dances from West Side Story, Dance Master in Cinderella, the Head Hunter in Oú Est Le Fox, and Young King in The King… Live! In Concert! This is Adam’s first season back since 2015, and he is very excited to be a part of the wonderful productions to come!
